Vtg "ACE STORES" DeSalle Pressed Steel Tonka & Pup Trailer Low # Autographed COA
Don DeSalle reproduced some of the iconic Tonka trucks from their day in very limited quantities. Here you have "Ace Stores" truck with the matching pup trailer. The certificate of authenticity for the truck states "First Series Edition." The truck is #40 out of 300 produced and this is stamped on the underside. The pup trailer is much more limited with only 150 produced and this is also stamped #40 on the underside. Both pieces are autographed by Don DeSalle on the undersides, as well. The certificate of authenticity for the truck has a raised corporate seal in the corner containing the year 1992. The underside of the pup trailer has the year '95 signed next to Don DeSalle's autograph. This set is from a private collection, never played with, nor displayed; only taken out of the boxes a handful of times to show people. The rear mudflap on the passenger side has lost some of the white adhesive letters to the "DeSalle" name, but you can still see the letters in a faint black (see photo). Also, in three corner areas near the opening and closing hinges of the rear doors to the truck, I can see tiny spots where the red paint is missing (see photo with the three green lines noting the spots). The outer brown boxes have writing and tape on them for they were used as the original shipping boxes back then. Upon shipping to the new owner, I will place the truck and pup trailer with their accompanying boxes into one large shipping box. (Condition: Pre-Owned)

This vintage nos truck and pup trailer combo is a rare find for collectors. I marked it new because I don't think it was ever displayed or out of the box until sold & I removed from the boxes only to photograph. Hand-signed & made by Don DeSalle in 1995, this limited edition set comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. No scratches or nicks. The pressed steel material adds to its durability.
