Up for bid is a VINTAGE 1950's "Rare Red Boom" TONKA AAA Wrecker /Tow Truck - All Original - DISCONTINUEDIt is in great shape for its age. There are some fleas bites on the paint. Normally the boom is black, this one is red and is rare. The winch works and the light on the top is secure. Please look at all the photos as they are part of the description. An awesome find for your collection History of Tonka Toy Wrecker or Tow TrucksTonka Toys has had a long history of manufacturing tow or wrecker trucks. In the early years of production Tonka Toys Labeled their Trucks with a "MM" symbol for Mound Minnesota, this was later changed to "AA" for Automobile Association. In 1956 Tonka Toys used the "AAA" symbol for the Automobile Association of America. This was quickly discontinued as Tonka did not have permission to use the AAA symbol.
